Erase Wrinkles with our Botox Shots
Here at Mathis Salon & Spa, our cosmetic skincare professionals safely perform all our Botox injections. Botox cosmetic fillers ares FDA-approved and one of the most popular cosmetic injection & filler procedures used to treat wrinkles and reduce the signs of aging.
If you're searching for a proven wrinkle eraser in Conroe, TX, the Botox shot at Mathis Salon & Spa is your solution! FDA-cleared Botox Cosmetic is a minimally invasive cosmetic injectable that softens moderate to severe facial lines and wrinkles that develop as we age. That’s why it is often referred to as a “wrinkle relaxer.” In fact, Botox injections will not dramatically change your facial appearance.
Instead, you’ll see results that are natural looking and striking within a few days after your treatment. The muscles in your face are simply relaxed, so you can still frown, smile or look surprised without those pesky wrinkles and creases. Plus, it helps prevent lines and wrinkles from deepening over time.

Reduce Lines and Wrinkles
What is Botox Cosmetic?
Botox is an FDA-approved prescription medication that lessens the movement of treated areas by blocking nerve impulses and improving appearance by minimizing lines and wrinkles.
At Mathis Salon & Spa, Botox is injected into the muscles below the areas where lines and wrinkles are located – usually around the eyes and mouth, between the brows and on the forehead.
You don’t have to look your age. It’s easy to look youthful and vibrant with Botox injections. This fast treatment minimizes wrinkles and reduces forehead lines and crow’s feet.
Fresh and Smooth Appearance
How Does Botox Work?
Botox Cosmetic is a clear liquid medicine that is injected with an ultra-fine needle into the treatment area. It uses botulinum toxin type A, specifically OnabotulinumtoxinA, to temporarily paralyze muscles. This prevents nerve signals in the facial muscles from contracting, causing the fine lines and wrinkles to relax and soften.
There are many causes of the lines and wrinkles that develop as we age. When we frown, squint or even smile, the muscles contract causing the skin to fold and crease.
After years of this repeated movement, the skin begins showing the effects. Sun damage can also cause lines and wrinkles, as can the cellular changes that come with normal aging. Luckily, with Botox Mathis Salon & Spa aesthetician can temporarily ‘undo’ this damage. Using tiny needles, Botox is injected under the skin where it relaxes the muscles, giving the face a fresh, smooth appearance as the muscular activity decreases.
Rejuvenating Treatment
How long does Botox last?
Botox typically last 3-4 months. Toxins are elements easily broken down and absorbed in the body. Considerations like absorption, some medication, and even exercise, can shorten metabolism time. Many of our clients come in for touch-ups often to stay fresh and younger-looking. Our aestheticians work with your schedule, so you don’t miss your follow-up appointments.
What issues does Botox correct?
Botox quickly “airbrushes” out wrinkles and facial lines between your eyebrows, forehead, eye area, and smile lines.
It is ideal for:
-
Forehead wrinkles/lines
-
Glabella or elevens (11s) – vertical frown lines between the brows
-
Lifting the corners of the mouth
-
Lateral orbit lines or Crow’s feet (creases at corner of eyes)
-
Bunny lines (beside the nose)
-
Perioral lines (smoker’s lines or vertical lip lines)
-
Smile lines (around the mouth)
-
Vertical platysma bands of the neck (diminishing neck bands)
-
Reducing jowls
-
Facial asymmetry
-
Drooping eyelid (brow lift or eye brow reshaping)
-
Dimpled chins
-
Preventing wrinkles from deepening over time
-
Hyperhidrosis (underarm botox for excessive sweating)
-
Marionette lines or DOAs
-
Gummy smiles
-
Migraine headaches
-
Masseter muscle (jaw clenching/TMJ)
-
Lip flip (fuller lips)
say good-bye to fine lines and wrinkles ...

What does Botox treatment involve?Botox treatment can take as little as 10 minutes, depending on the extent of your session. When you arrive for your treatment, your nurse may numb your skin to reduce discomfort during the treatment. You may receive a numbing injection, a numbing cream or a cold spray on your skin. Next, a nurse will use a tiny needle to inject the Botox cosmetic into your skin or muscles. For crow’s feet, you will receive up to 3 injections in the orbicularis oculi (the muscle on the side of the eye area) on each side of your face, and for frown lines, you will receive 5 injections total in the muscles in your forehead.

When will I see results?Botox injections do not work instantly. When Botox is injected, it takes from seven to fourteen (7-14) days to fully block the nerves that make the muscles contract, causing them to relax. In most cases, patients should be able to see a slightly noticeable difference in the appearance of the treated area within the first week. If this is your first Botox treatment, you may experience a “heavy” sensation or feelings of tightness in the treatment area. Because your muscles have been temporarily paralyzed, you likely also notice a difference in your range of expressions.
-
How should I prepare for my Botox treatment? Before your Botox treatment, let your nurse know if you have had any other type of botulinum toxin injections in the last four months or if you have taken any muscle relaxants, sleeping medication or allergy medications. Your nurse may also ask you to refrain from taking blood thinners before your treatment. You may wear your normal clothing to your treatment.
-
Is there downtime after a Botox treatment?Sometimes called a lunchtime procedure, you can expect little to no recovery time after your treatment. You can return to your normal activities immediately. We do recommend that you stay upright and refrain from massaging the injection area for 4 hours after the procedure, to prevent the cosmetic from moving beyond the treated area.
-
What does a Botox injection feel like?Quick and minimally invasive, your mid-level medical injector (nurse practitioner or physician assistant) will inject Botox with a very small needle directly into the muscles that need to be relaxed. Any discomfort at the injection site should be very minimal. You might feel a slight residual stinging immediately after your Botox injections. A small bump may also appear where the injection occurs, but that will quickly fade. After five minutes, your face will look nearly identical to how it looked when you walked into Mathis Aesthetics, with the exception of some redness if you have sensitive skin. Typically, you can return back to work or normal activity immediately post-treatment. On a scale from 1-10, most guests rate it a 1-2.

What is Masseter Botox?Masseter Botox is the name for the medical treatment where Botox is injected into the masseter muscle. This treatment is also referred to as “teeth-grinding injections” or “jaw Botox.” The masseter muscle is a large, rectangular facial muscle that connects your lower jaw to your cheek bone and is the main muscle for chewing. Injecting botulinum toxin type A into the masseter blocks nerve cells to help relax the muscle. It is a highly effective treatment for patients who clench or grind their teeth or have been diagnosed with TMJ. Masseter Muscle Botox is also popular non-surgical treatment to help reduce the width and shape of a square jawline — known as jawline slimming or facial slimming.
-
How long does Masseter Botox last?Botox results typically last 3-4 months. How often you need Botox treatments is slightly different for every individual. Our bodies metabolize the botulism toxin injections at different rates. Muscle mass, age and your desired outcome also help determine the ideal treatment protocol.
-
How often will I need Botox injections? For optimal results, you will need Botox injections at regular intervals every 3-4 months.
-
How will I feel after my Botox treatment? It is very common to feel slight heaviness or pressure in the treated area after Botox injections. Some people experience temporary side effects like a mild headache on the treatment day and the day after.
