What is Plasma Fibroblast?
Plasma Fibroblast skin tightening is a cutting-edge, non-invasive cosmetic treatment designed to tighten and rejuvenate the skin. It effectively addresses wrinkles, sagging, and dull skin without the need for surgery, cuts, or needles.
Plasma Fibroblast therapy uses a specialized medical device to create a plasma arc that contracts and tightens the skin. This process stimulates the production of new fibroblast cells and collagen, leading to firmer, younger-looking skin. It's effective for delicate areas like the eyes, face, and neck, and can treat issues such as sagging eyelids, wrinkles, stretch marks, and scars.
The world's most advanced, non-invasive, skin lifting and tightening rejuvenation treatment for wrinkles, sagging and dull skin. Are you looking for a skin tightening treatment that will give you surgical results without any cuts, needles or down time?

How Does Plasma Fibroblast Work?
Our specialized, Medical Plasma device works by utilizing the voltage in the air between its tip and the natural gasses emitted from just above the skin to form a true “plasma “ (ionized gas) charge. This tiny arc of electricity shortens, contracts and tightens targeted skin tissue instantly.
Your skin’s natural healing process then goes into overdrive and encourages your own body to create new fibroblast cells responsible for development of Collagen to enhance natural volume and Elastin for improvements in tightening. Each area of treatment, which has been addressed by the plasma charge, will retract by pulling the skin cells closer together. This successfully targets any areas with levels of excess skin.
How Fibroblast Skin Tightening Works
Fibroblast therapy is a nonsurgical treatment that uses a pen-like device and the power of plasma to tighten and smooth the skin. The plasma pen is used to discharge a series of tiny plasma flashes (electric current) on the treatment area. The plasma is emitted in a quick popping motion along the skin’s surface. This targeted current of ionized gas gently heats the outermost skin layer, causing micro-injuries to the tissue. The micro-injuries trigger the body’s natural healing process, stimulating fibroblast cells in the dermis.
Fibroblasts are protein-producing cells in the dermis layer of skin that generate collagen, elastin, and other tissue components. The micro-injuries from the plasma pen kick fibroblast activity into high gear. The fibroblasts immediately begin producing proteins like collagen to repair the skin. Over the next 8-12 weeks as the skin heals, new collagen production results in tightened, denser tissue with improved elasticity and firmness. The treatment remodels and regenerates the skin for a natural tightening and rejuvenating effect.

What Can You Expect From Your Plasma Fibroblast Treatment?
After a thorough consultation with our certified team,
Here is a step-by-step overview of what happens during a typical fibroblast skin tightening session:
-
The provider will cleanse and prepare the treatment area. Numbing cream is applied and left to take effect for about 30 minutes. This helps make the treatment comfortable.
-
The plasma pen is tested and calibrated on a practice skin area. When it touches the skin, a popping sound is heard and a small brown dot appears.
-
The pen is then glided along the skin’s surface to create a pattern of tiny plasma flashes. Each flash hits the skin for just a fraction of a second. You will hear continuous popping sounds as the pen is moved around the treatment area.
-
The plasma flashes feel like a hot pricking sensation. The heat helps to make this treatment tolerable. Some areas like the eyelids and lips are more sensitive.
-
Your provider tailors the plasma intensity and number of passes based on your skin laxity and treatment goals. One pass is often sufficient for subtle tightening.
-
The procedure takes about 30-60 minutes depending on the size of the treated area. Numerous small areas like the eyelids can be treated in a single session.
-
Immediately after the treatment, the skin appears speckled with tiny brown dots from the plasma. The treated area may be slightly swollen, red, and tender.
Cold air and aloe vera gel can help soothe the skin. All treatment appointments will receive a goodie bag with aftercare items.
What is Plasma Skin Rejuevenation?
Using a device called a Plasma Pen, the treatment utilizes the voltage in the air to form a plasma charge, creating an electrical arc that instantly shrinks targeted skin through tiny spots placed on the skin. This thermal trauma tightens the skin by pulling cells closer together. The process stimulates new collagen (neocollagenesis) and elastin production over the next 90 days, continuing to enhance skin tightening and rejuvenation.
What does Plasma Pen Skin Rejuvenation used to treat?
Plasma Pen is versatile and can address a wide range of skin issues, including:
-
Hooded eyes and under eye bags
-
Wrinkles and fine lines
-
Skin laxity and sagging
-
Acne scars
-
Pigmented lesions or blemishes
-
Sun damage, pigmentation and melasma
-
General skin rejuvenation
As we age, the dermal layer of our skin thins, our bodies produce less collagen and we lose elasticity. This is unfortunately a natural aging process which causes wrinkles and sagging of the skin. Our certified plasma pen technicians use the fibroblast plasma treatment to eliminate signs of aging by tightening and lifting sagging skin.
How Many Fibroblast Treatments Are Needed?
Most patients see noticeable improvements in skin tightness and tone after just one fibroblast session. However, the number of treatments needed depends on factors like your skin laxity and goals.
On average, 1-3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart are recommended for optimal results. Treating smaller surface areas like the eyelids or neck may require fewer sessions than larger areas like the abdomen.
Your practitioner can advise how many fibroblast treatments are ideal at your initial consultation. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and skin care routine helps prolong the effects. Annual touch-up sessions may be desirable to combat the ongoing aging process.
The effects of plasma fibroblast therapy are considered permanent because new collagen and elastin fibers are produced in the dermis. However, these skin proteins naturally degrade over time. Results typically last at least 1-3 years or longer before a maintenance session is needed.

What does Botox treatment involve?Botox treatment can take as little as 10 minutes, depending on the extent of your session. When you arrive for your treatment, your nurse may numb your skin to reduce discomfort during the treatment. You may receive a numbing injection, a numbing cream or a cold spray on your skin. Next, a nurse will use a tiny needle to inject the Botox cosmetic into your skin or muscles. For crow’s feet, you will receive up to 3 injections in the orbicularis oculi (the muscle on the side of the eye area) on each side of your face, and for frown lines, you will receive 5 injections total in the muscles in your forehead.
-
How much does Botox cost? The cost of Botox injections depends on the size of your facial muscles, the skill and experience of the injector, the number of treatment areas, the number of product units, where you live, and your desired outcome. Typically, men require more units than women because they have larger facial muscles. Here at Mathis Aesthetics. Botox costs $14 per unit. The price of a Botox treatment typically ranges between $350-$650 at our MedSpa, depending on the number of units required. NEW BOTOX® Tiered pricing: Below 40 units= $14 per unit Below 60 units= $12 per unit 60 units+= $11 per unit 65+ = $10/unit
-
When will I see results?Botox injections do not work instantly. When Botox is injected, it takes from seven to fourteen (7-14) days to fully block the nerves that make the muscles contract, causing them to relax. In most cases, patients should be able to see a slightly noticeable difference in the appearance of the treated area within the first week. If this is your first Botox treatment, you may experience a “heavy” sensation or feelings of tightness in the treatment area. Because your muscles have been temporarily paralyzed, you likely also notice a difference in your range of expressions.
-
How should I prepare for my Botox treatment? Before your Botox treatment, let your nurse know if you have had any other type of botulinum toxin injections in the last four months or if you have taken any muscle relaxants, sleeping medication or allergy medications. Your nurse may also ask you to refrain from taking blood thinners before your treatment. You may wear your normal clothing to your treatment.
-
Is there downtime after a Botox treatment?Sometimes called a lunchtime procedure, you can expect little to no recovery time after your treatment. You can return to your normal activities immediately. We do recommend that you stay upright and refrain from massaging the injection area for 4 hours after the procedure, to prevent the cosmetic from moving beyond the treated area.
-
What does a Botox injection feel like?Quick and minimally invasive, your mid-level medical injector (nurse practitioner or physician assistant) will inject Botox with a very small needle directly into the muscles that need to be relaxed. Any discomfort at the injection site should be very minimal. You might feel a slight residual stinging immediately after your Botox injections. A small bump may also appear where the injection occurs, but that will quickly fade. After five minutes, your face will look nearly identical to how it looked when you walked into Mathis Aesthetics, with the exception of some redness if you have sensitive skin. Typically, you can return back to work or normal activity immediately post-treatment. On a scale from 1-10, most guests rate it a 1-2.

What is Masseter Botox?Masseter Botox is the name for the medical treatment where Botox is injected into the masseter muscle. This treatment is also referred to as “teeth-grinding injections” or “jaw Botox.” The masseter muscle is a large, rectangular facial muscle that connects your lower jaw to your cheek bone and is the main muscle for chewing. Injecting botulinum toxin type A into the masseter blocks nerve cells to help relax the muscle. It is a highly effective treatment for patients who clench or grind their teeth or have been diagnosed with TMJ. Masseter Muscle Botox is also popular non-surgical treatment to help reduce the width and shape of a square jawline — known as jawline slimming or facial slimming.
-
How long does Masseter Botox last?Botox results typically last 3-4 months. How often you need Botox treatments is slightly different for every individual. Our bodies metabolize the botulism toxin injections at different rates. Muscle mass, age and your desired outcome also help determine the ideal treatment protocol.
-
How often will I need Botox injections? For optimal results, you will need Botox injections at regular intervals every 3-4 months.
-
How will I feel after my Botox treatment? It is very common to feel slight heaviness or pressure in the treated area after Botox injections. Some people experience temporary side effects like a mild headache on the treatment day and the day after.
